So /deepbreath….. Pokemon Global Link Service. No I haven’t actually played it because it’s been 4 years since I watched the anime and 2 years since I touched a game, but from what I’ve read it seems like Pokemon fans seem really excited about it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m no longer a fan of the franchise or because it just sounds stupid to me. Read the discription of the features.
There’s a garden where players can grow berries, a feature purposefully left out of the Black and White versions of the game. Berries act as currency in the Dream World, used to purchase furniture to decorate your Pokémon’s dream house. Players can visit their friends’ dream houses, exchanging items via a share shelf. It’s a place where the more social aspects of the Pokémon series can flourish.It’s it just me who thinks this is basically Webkinz for boys? I don’t want to be so cynical, Pokemon was the first anime I ever watched and it ( by it I mean the first season only ) is still in my top 10 anime list! But for pete-sake it just seems so stupid. However I suppose it’s ok considering it’s free and from what I’ve seen there are no “poke-dollars” or anything RL money based like that. It just seems like there going milk the franchise until even the kids see that it’s stupid. I mean we are already at what 650 something pokemon?
