Like usual I’m reporting on every scrap of SnO news possible. Anyways Funi released some sneak peaks of the SnO dub, and I’m linking them all. Also you can pre-order the SnO normal and collectors edition Blu Rays here. The only difference between them is that the collectors edition comes with an art book, but since this is the best anime in existence I’m still getting it.
EDIT: O.K after having watched these I’m ready to voice my complaints. First off Tomoki’s voice actor is terrible. At any given moment he might sound like a 4-year old boy, and at another he might sound like he was gargling rocks for breakfast. Sohora’s voice actor is decent, I suppose but not the best. I actually like Suguta’s, and Mikako’s and Tomoki’s Grandfathers voices are PERFECT! I’m also worried about how Nymph’s voice is going to sound. I can’t imagine anyone replacing Iori Nomizu and being good at it. The one voice I had a major problem with is Ikaros’s in that she needed to sound more lifeless and less bored. What is it with English voice actors not grasping the concept of sounding emotionless? It happened in Angel Beats, and now SnO. Also Ikaros’s voice sounded more gentle in the Japanese version. But I suppose if I can get through Ikaros’s horr… wait I’m sorry excuse me, her name isn’t Ikaros, apparently it’s Ickurus!!!!!! JFJSDJGBVS FSDLFNBJVNSDNVDNFJFKSD /nerd-rage Seriously was this dub directed by M. Night Shyamalan??? Seriously it’s not that hard of a concept to grasp! Her name is Ikaros (E-care-O-s)! Her name is a parody of Icarus from Greek mythology, Icarus is not her actual name!
