Something big. Something like a major character dying. LIKE WHAT HAPPENED!
I said it would “have to be something big enough to rock Tomoki into action” I said those exact words. AND IT HAPPENED!

lol, well I think it’s less about him being sad, and more about pissing of the guy with 5 Angelroids (2 of them having evolved Pandora) And besides Zeus he has nothing we know of to defend himself anymore.
I mean if he was going to legitimately regret them dying, why send them down their on what is essentially a suicide mission?
And here’s a question, did he build the Harpys? It’s been established Daedalus built Ikaros, Nymph, and Asterea, (Angelroid models 1, 2, and 4) But who built the Harpys? I imagine MoS, because he doesn’t treat them as bad as Nymph. If so, I’m not completely discounting the fact that he feels remorse. Perhaps his crazy “must kill Sakurai Tomoki” mentality blinded him to what he needed.

when i read “someone major dies” nearly had a heat attack that someone from our main heroes died..Its sad that the harpies were annihilated but i wasn’t very attached to them..plus Tomoki has a big motivation now..So probably this was the reason harpies were introduced to us..To give Tomoki a motivation kick to fight the big boss
the only thing that matters for me if the mangaka wants to end SnO then i hope he will en it in a epic way without any goofs or Naruto filler making way:P

As I do not speak japanese I am merely guessing. But I do not think that the manga will end soon… I think it’ll be another year in the making at least. Also, I seem to be missing chapter 65…. and It’s making me confused xD

Nevermind found it. But it’s depressing seeing that happen. I still don’t understand why but I guess it’ll be revealed. Lastly, referring to your idea that it’ll end soon. I don’t think that it’ll be the last of the Harpies, remember how the Hiyori was created into an Angeloid? I think that might happen with the Harpies. But ya, quite depressed right now xD

Well, there’s a fallacy in that idea. The way those pod things work is that Angels (which are different from Angelroids) who get bored of The Synapse get in the pods and get “reborn” on earth. Once they die, they just wake up in The Synapse again. That’s what happened to Hiyori. The Harpies are Angelroids. They don’t wake up upon death, because they weren’t in the pods to begin with. They physically just fly down to Earth. If they didn’t the MoS could just stab Ikaros in her pod, and kill her in Synapse and on Earth.
The MoS or Daedalus could hypothetically rebuild them, but Daedalus is in hiding and doesn’t have the resources and MoS is far past the point of needing Interceptor type Angelroids.

That is true. However, I don’t know what’ll happen. I’m really hoping that they didn’t just kill them off because that would be annoying… Especially seeing that they were, and are, quite detailed characters… However I again think you are wrong to assume that it’ll be ending soon. There is way to much to cover still, love interests to be attended to, plot lines that still need weaving together. Don’t forget about Chaos, and Oregano, I’m sure they’ll have some sort of role to play… but regardless. I’m depressed with the turn out of the gamma and harpy
. Also, do you know which chapters were included in volume 16? Lastly, I would refrain from posting things about the ending of the manga (gets people all depressed and stuff xD)

Well I don’t know what’ll happen either, I’m just guessing. But then again I’ve been spot on so far.
And I definitely agree that there is a lot to cover, but I’m thinking the ending will spawn multiple chapters. And perhaps after that it will just be about comedy, which I’d be fine with, as long as Minazuki doesn’t start up another plot. And no, I don’t know which chapters are in Volume 16, sorry.
